Group Vice President, Social Policy and Polling Group
Chintan Turakhia is Group Vice President of the Social Policy and Polling division of Abt SRBI which specializes in social and public policy, elections, rare populations, military, education, housing, immigration research and establishment of proprietary web panels. His studies typically involve rigorous research designs, multi-mode data collection protocols, intense database management, and analytics.
In addition to directing studies involving housing, labor, and immigration issues for federal agencies, Turakhia has conducted tracking studies on health care issues such as smoking, alcohol use, and sexually transmitted diseases for academic clients, such as Princeton University and The City University of New York. He has expertise in establishment of custom web panels.
He also has extensive experience in conducting ethnic and rare population studies. He directed one of the nation’s largest studies of Muslim and Asian Americans, funded by The Pew Research Center.
Turakhia directed the 2012 ANES (American National Election Studies), as well as three waves NAES (National Annenberg Election Survey) for the Annenberg School of Communication at The University of Pennsylvania. He has also directed customer satisfaction studies for financial services clients and readership studies for major media outlets.
Turakhia has authored and co-authored many academic and methodological papers presented at national conferences. He is on the executive council of NYAAPOR (New York Association of Public Opinion Research).
His credentials include an M.B.A. with a concentration in Marketing Management and Research from Bernard M. Baruch College (CUNY), New York.
