In addition to epidemiological studies on the risk factors and prevalence of disease, Abt SRBI has two decades of experience producing cutting-edge research for providers and insurers in health care and hospital management, service satisfaction, policy evaluations, advertising awareness, public perceptions of hospital care as well as studies of hospital personnel. Abt SRBI is a research leader in studies of customer satisfaction with health care practice and management.

The Abt SRBI research group also has extensive experience in health insurance and health care utilization research. For third party payers, SRBI has conducted a number of studies within the past year of corporate benefits officers and senior corporate management on health benefits. These studies are an outgrowth of the long history of corporate financial services research conducted by Abt SRBI for major financial institutions. We also frequently conduct market surveys of physicians and employers for third-party payers.

By reaching opinion leaders, medical practitioners, and health management executives, Abt SRBI collects meaningful data about attitudes, preferences, awareness and expectations about health care practice and management.

Under the direction of Dr. John Boyle, Abt SRBI has conducted other surveys of physician behavior for the Food and Drug Administration and the Presidential Commission on the Study of Ethics in Medicine and Biomedical Research. He has also conducted surveys of pharmacists for the FDA and hospital administrators for the American Red Cross as well as image studies of hospitals in selected markets.
