Survey of Physician "Thought-Leaders" on the Future of
the United States Health Care System: This study focused on the views
of prominent physician members of the Institute of Medicine. The study
examined the problems and challenges of health care delivery in the 1990s,
including cost, access, the role of insurance companies and government
and the changing nature of the doctor-patient relationship.
Corporate Customer Satisfaction with Health Care
Services: These surveys have been conducted for several health care
insurers to measure service quality and to assess how corporations plan
for changes in health and life benefits. Reactions were tested concerning
new products such as flexible benefit plans, accelerated benefits and
new forms of managed care. Interviewing was conducted by telephone.
Assessment of Current Physician Practices and Attitudes
About Artificial Insemination: This Abt SRBI study was based on self-administered
interviews with 1,501 physicians in two groups -- reproductive care specialists
and members of a medical fertility society. The study was conducted for
the United States Congress, Office of Technology Assessment.
