The Network Physician Survey: Evaluating physicians with managed care
contracts determined, among other things, their attitudes towards and
use of formal and informal guidelines and standards including the new
Medicare reimbursement system.
The Illinois Health Care Providers Telephone Survey: This study
developed a provider report card on leading commercial managed care carriers.
Survey of Corporate Customer Satisfaction with Health Care Services:
This study measured service quality and assessed planned changes in heath
and life benefits.
The Survey of Health Care Trends: Corporate benefit managers evaluated
health care plans and expectations for the future.
Utilization Review Services Tracking Study: Interviews with physicians,
patients and medical provider staff measured user acceptance of UR procedures
to obtain required authorization prior to hospitalization.
Evaluation of Physician Attitudes and Practice Regarding Cholesterol
and Coronary Heart Disease: For the National Heart Lung and Blood
Institute, 1,600 interviews were conducted by telephone among a national
sample of primary care physicians and cardiologists. The study generated
information used by NHLBI to evaluate the impact of its Cholesterol Awareness
Education Program.
Abt SRBI has also conducted several customer satisfaction studies among health
care professionals for third-party payers.
