Mark D. Morgan, Senior Vice President,
Media and Telecommunications Research
Mark D. Morgan designs, directs and analyzes research projects specializing
in the ever-evolving fields of media and telecommunications. He has extensive
experience in the management, control and analysis of complex survey designs
in commercial and public policy research.
Mr. Morgan's media practice has included a wide variety of programming
studies for both broadcast and cable networks--across the entire range
of entertainment categories from sports to soap operas, movies, primetime
programming, news magazines and network news programming. His media projects
have covered a broad range of study types including measurements of promotion/ad
effectiveness, viewing patterns, network image/brand equity, concept testing
and viewer reactions to new programming. His projects include ongoing
tracking projects as well as custom research involving national probability
samples, viewer panels and recruit-to-view studies.
He has been conducting research on business and residence telecommunications
issues for over ten years at Abt SRBI. Mr. Morgan has directed major surveys
on a variety of important telecommunications topics, including price impacts
and cross-elasticities between products, the effects of promotional pricing
on service demand, and the image and positioning of various potential
actors in the telecommunications market. Mr. Morgan received his B.A.
in Economics and Political Science in 1984 from Drew University.
