"American Families Discuss Social Security" Project
Several studies produced at SRBI comprise the "American Families
Discuss Social Security" project for Princeton Survey Research Associates
and the Pew Research Center. A total of 8,500 people have been asked their
opinions and concerns about social security, as well as personal attitude
questions like "How do you feel about getting old?"
Some of the component studies include:
Parents and Children Talk About Social Security: SRBI employed
in-person interviewers (door-to-door, using laptop computers. The sampling
plan selected 100 New York City residents over 25 years old and their
parents.
Hispanic Attitudes Toward Social Security: SRBI completed two waves
of over 1,700 surveys. The design included a Spanish mail survey.
