Every industry has its "scoreboard" to measure each company's
position and growth. The market research industry's definitive scoreboard
is Jack Honomichl's "Top Fifty" report, published every June
in Marketing News, a publication of the American Marketing Association.
This year's list included Schulman, Ronca and Bucuvalas, Inc. (SRBI) for
the first time. SRBI captured a coveted place on the list by posting the
second highest growth rate last year of any listed firm, 38.9%.
Honomichl, a widely respected research industry observer, has been publishing
these reports for 26 years. To qualify for the listing, each firm must
submit to third-party verification of calendar year revenues for market
research operations.
"Frankly, we were not out to set any records last year," explained
Mark Schulman, President of SRBI. "Our real objective was to serve
our clients better, in more value-added ways."
Schulman said SRBI's growth resulted from "staying tightly focused
on strengthening relationships with our core clients, offering them value-added
services and superior client service and building new technology-driven
and global capabilities. Our clients rewarded us for these efforts last
year by giving us a bigger share of their research dollars."
